Photo found on Yahoo. Personally I love these little buddha shaped pears (grown in molds after a lengthy trial and error process by a Chinese farmer). Is it wrong to eat it though? Cute for a little dinner party dessert (if I was a dinner party kinda gal) but I really like them just hangin' from the tree.
Mad Men is juicier than ever this season. Peggy is a hot tamale of lust, Don is maddeningly conflicted and Pete is as slimy as ever. Jon Hamm and Jennifer Jones are on Oprah tomorrow. Is your TiVo ready? I'm loving 'gay night' (Wednesday) on Fox. I mean, c'mon: So You Think You Can Dance followed by Glee? It is a jazz hands festival each week and who can feel down about that???
I just finished Safekeeping by Abigail Thomas. Small (very) essays by the author of the also excellent Three Dog Life. Sweet, thoughtful books both and quick reads.
Though I haven't taken much time to listen my most current iPod downloads have been The Killers, an unusual one by Beck (so unusual I didn't know who I was listening to when the unadorned cd got separated from its case), Mat Kearney (not as good as his last) and Dreamworld which is pretty good mellow electronica.
I saw District 9 and (500) Days of Summer last. I can recommend both (though different!).
Heading off to Bowling Green to see Tracey and Cara, pops and the missus. Outta here!
